We are committed to driving modal change in a safe and sustainable way, partnering with communities to provide new transport choices, reduce car dependency for shorter trips, and increase public transport usage.
Wherever we run fleets alongside other operators, we become the market leader due to our superior understanding of how to drive adoption of shared e-mobility.
Over
kilometres have been travelled on our e-scooters and e-bikes in Australia and New Zealand since we launched in 2019
We take great pride in supporting local governments to realise their transportation goals - here are just a few examples of how we are supporting communities.
Leisure
In Mackay, our e-scooters are supporting modal shift and the Council’s active and sustainable transport goals, connecting activity centres and supporting the tourist and visitor economy.
Tourist & Commute
In Esperance, a regional tourist town in Western Australia our e-scooter program is creating local jobs, supporting tourism and improving transport connectivity where there is limited public transport and taxi options. Our e-scooters are providing a flexible and affordable transport option for tourists and visitors to get around town with benefits flowing to local businesses.
“The e-scooters have both social and economic benefits because mobility gives people the ability to move around easily and get to a range of activities – work and social.

Manager for Economic Development at the Shire
COMMUTE
In Brisbane, our e-scooters are an important feature of the City’s transport options with locals and residents using them as a quick and easy way to get around the City. More than 72% of our regular riders use Beam to get to and from work and study. Our e-scooters are also helping to fuel the City’s night time economy - making it easier and safer to get around at night. A recent survey of Bribane’s night shift hospitality workers shows that if e-scooters were not available more than a fifth would have driven. In Brisbane, 80% of our regular Beam riders are using their car 32% less - this is good news for the environment and the city!
Student
In Adelaide, our e-scooters are encouraging low impact exploration, bridging gaps in the public transport network and encouraging active travel across the city.
COMMUTE
In Launceston our e-scooters and e-bikes are improving transport equity, encouraging active transport and reducing congestion in the city.

Beam recognises the important role that local governments play in serving and shaping their communities. We partner with councils to understand the needs of their communities and use our global experience and learnings to support and service the transport needs of the community in a safe and sustainable way.
Beam employs locally and partners with local businesses and community organisations to integrate e-vehicles safely and for the benefit of the broader community.
E-mobility can be transformational for a city or town’s transport connectivity, improving movement, accessibility and benefitting local economies. We support councils to realise the benefits quickly - from initial deployment, to a community realising the full benefits across the tourism, economic, social and transport sectors.
Every community is unique, which is why our flexible e-mobility programs are tailored to suit the bespoke needs of your individual community, and with the end-user in mind. We co-design these programs in partnership with local councils to help deliver your vision for improved transportation.
Beam data can be used to create measurement frameworks and data analytics tools to unlock hidden insights and power smarter, evidence-based planning and design strategy. This data can accurately measure modal shift, allowing councils to make more informed decisions for the benefit of the community.
