Beam Mobility announced that it will expand its service area in Korea to four additional locations including Seoul’s Nowon District, Seongnam’s Bundang District, Goyang City, and Gwangju City.
Throughout its know-hows accumulated through its service in various locations in Korea,Beam Mobility will provide its top-class service to its customers at the new locations by providing transportation convenience and aiding on eco-friendly transportation infrastructure establishment.
At the new service locations, Beam Mobility will allocate its state-of-the-art e-scooter, Beam Saturn+. Durability of the Beam Saturn+ has been increased greatly through aircraft-grade aluminium frame, while up-to-date technologies including automatic collision & accident detection, three-brakes system, and dual suspension assures safety of the vehicle. Also, cellphone dock and cupholder are installed for better user experience.
Since its launch in July 2019, Beam Mobility has expanded its presence in the Korean market by entering into major locations including Seoul, Daegu, Incheon and Hanam. In addition, the operator has successfully expanded to the Southern Gyeongsang Province and Chung cheong Province including Busan, Gyeongju, Ulsan, Cheonan, Cheongju, and Daejeon in Q1 2021.
With the service expansion of Beam Mobility, green transportation infrastructure establishment for the respective service areas is getting its momentum.E-scooters’ carbon dioxide emissions reach only 1~2 percent as that of automobiles and thus a sustainable transportation method for air quality improvement and carbon neutral aspect. Also, the operator has implemented routing algorithms to ensure the most efficient scooter deployment, and has also introduced the end-of-life recycling plan for all of its e-scooters to improve its carbon footprint. Through the dedication, Beam Mobility has offset 4,400tonnes of Co2 from its operations in 2020 and has been certified as climate neutral for two consecutive years.
In addition, Beam Mobility is conducting activities to create a safe e-scooter riding culture. Through its application, Beam Mobility provides ‘Beam SafeAcademy Quiz’ for the new users to know about the related traffic laws and safety regulations, with free Beam credit for the users who have finished the quiz.
Along with the above program, the operator is cooperating with institutions including Songpa district, Han River Management, Daegu, Cheonan, Gwangju, Incheon andUlsan city to conduct its offline safety education program ‘Beam Safe Academy’,and will expand the program further in accordance with social distancing policy by the central government.
