[10 October 2022] South Australia’s biggest shared micromobility operator, Beam, has partnered with RAA – South Australia’s largest membership organisation - for the launch of its new transport app, RAA Go. The app helps make public transport more accessible by facilitating trips to and from transport hubs, often the first and last mile of a journey.

RAA Go is set to revolutionise transport in South Australia with journey planning that includes Beam e-scooters, shared and on demand transport alternatives.

Uniquely, RAA Go also shows users the estimated carbon impact of their travel options as well as total estimated emissions at the end of the journey. It’s the first app of its kind to include sustainability metrics.

Beam’s Saturn e-scooters, featuring tip-resistant kickstands, a bluetooth-locked helmet and speed limiting technology for safety, are available for hire in convenient locations around Adelaide. When a Beam vehicle is selected within the RAA Go app, the user is directed to the Beam app to start their trip.

The RAA Go app provides additional travel choices, making it easy for users to plan their door-to-door trips across different transport options.

Beam’s Head of Business Development (ANZ) Adam Rossetto said:

“We are excited by this integration, which will allow us to increase active transport options across the city and better improve South Australians' access to multi-modal transport.

“This integration with RAA Go will make it even easier for Beam riders to plan their journeys with us, but more importantly, it will allow us to bring shared micromobility to a larger audience, showcasing how Beam can easily integrate with other modes of public transport, like buses, trains and trams.”
