Beam aligns with Malaysia’s Green Goals

[27 July 2022] Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC) is an agency of the Ministry of Environment and Water (KASA) mandated to drive the country toward Green Growth, Climate Change Mitigation, and Green Lifestyle.

Three Malaysian national policies positions MGTC as a catalyst for green economic growth; the National Green Technology Policy (NGTP), the National Climate Change Policy (NCCP) and the Green Technology Master Plan (GTMP). In addition, the Low Carbon Cities Framework (LCCF) was established in 2011 and addresses reduction of carbon emissions in 4 main areas: Urban Environment, Urban Infrastructure, Urban Transportation and Buildings.

Beam is delighted to have had the opportunity to showcase our technology, features, and escooters as a zero-emission micromobility solution which complements the MGTC public policy goals.

“At Beam we are fully committed to working in partnership with governments at all levels to help make city life flow better for everyone. We believe our company purpose aligns well with the goals of MGTC,”

added Taty Azman, Head of Public Affairs at Beam Mobility Malaysia.

In championing a greener environment for this generation and the next, Beam is open and ready to listen to suggestions for how it can further work towards being Carbon Negative. For opportunities, connect with Beam at [email protected].

We pledge to support city councils in their journey to being more carbon efficient. Find out more about our environmental credentials at https://www.ridebeam.com/carbon-negative-pledge.
